Cowgirl Creamery & Sidekick Cafe

Cowgirl Creamery is a cheese lover’s dream come true. Founded in 1997 in scenic Point Reyes, Cowgirl Creamery has additional locations in Petaluma and in the Ferry Building in San Francisco, right off of Market Street in SOMA. This unique cheesemakers’ storefront features artisan, handmade cheeses created from the milk of local dairy farmers. Cheesemongers and cheese lovers alike come together to learn more and feast on cheese-centric dishes at the adjacent cafes.

Cowgirl Creamery’s cheese shops feature a variety of different cheeses, each with nuanced flavors. Skilled cheesemongers man the shop to help you pair your chosen cheese with other great foods, from meats to vegetables. Cowgirl Creamery has its roots in farmstead eating, sourcing from local ingredients in order to create specialty gourmet cheeses that become the star of your snack plate or mac and cheese.

If you are interested in exploring the delicious world of Cowgirl Creamery, stop by the Cowgirl Creamery Sidekick Cafe and Milk Bar at the Ferry Building. The menu provides options from breakfast to dessert, and dairy takes center stage on each plate. The Sidekick Cafe and Milk Bar provides quick service snacks and meals that allow you to explore the waterfront. Choose from the comfort food-inspired cheese toastie, which is an open faced grilled cheese with maple mustard; farmers market salad and cheese frisco; or the interesting and delicious Earl Grey panacotta.
