Mitchell’s Ice Cream
A short distance from the Mission District in Bernal Heights, Mitchell’s has been open since 1953. Mitchell’s is famous for its award-winning, handmade ice cream that boasts delicious flavors from different cultures. Fan favorites include horchata, caramel praline, and eggnog. One particular specialty of Mitchell’s is its halo halo dessert; this is a Filipino dessert made from mongo beans, buko, pineapple, langka, ube, evaporated milk, and shaved ice.
